Update 6
Hello everyone, we are here today with the Penultimate update for our game Tether!
To start with we'd like to show our two new levels, starting with level 7 (8th level counting level 0).
As you can see, level 7 makes use of new conveyor belts with a slit in the middle of the for the player to grapple between. This allows for the player to 'ride' with the cube to the platform and the levels exit.
Level 8 (9th level counting level 0)
Level 8 is sadly unfinished, as we had trouble getting the ball to move with the platforms gracefully while still maintaining momentum. The intended solution is for the player to use the right gun to move the platforms to carry the ball to the ramp, and then the button, however it turns out that is much harder to pull off and program in practice.Next we have some more audio that will play at the beginning of level 3. We have more audio ready, this is just an example of what to expect.
Lastly we have done various bugfixes and fixed more problems with the game, as detailed in the document below (Blue fixes were done previously, yellow fixes were done for this update).That is all we have for this update, we're going to be hard at work for the next three weeks to prepare for the Final Update, where we will hopefully have the game in a releasable state.
